Quick build

  • Specializations: Sharpshooter first, then Scoundrel.
  • Weapon: Longarm Blaster for maximum useful range and single-target damage.
  • Utility: Mission-specific support item; preserve AP for positioning, firing, and Overwatch.

Unique talent

Combat Gas grants Sharpened Senses, improving Luco's chance to hit. Upgrades increase the stacks gained.

Upgrade priority

  • Upgrade Combat Gas because both parts of the talent reinforce every ranged turn.
  • Take Zero In and Pick Them Off to improve stationary shots and Overwatch.
  • Add Scoundrel's Instinct for defense penetration and Never Play Fair for stronger assists.
  • Choose sightline and accuracy improvements before situational damage that only works after a poor position is already chosen.

Turn plan

  • Take elevation or a protected long sightline before the squad closes distance.
  • Use Zero In when Luco can remain in place long enough to benefit from the setup.
  • Focus the enemy whose removal prevents the most damage or control on the next enemy turn.
  • Use Overwatch when movement or line of sight makes a direct shot inefficient.

Squad pairings and Bonds

  • A Heavy keeps melee pressure away from Luco's firing position.
  • Scout information and Advantage help the squad expose the correct priority target.
  • Jae can turn a high-damage Luco hit into a Final Shot execution; Hawks improves assist accuracy and defense.

Alternative build and limits

On small indoor maps, Sharpshooter/Gunslinger with a Pistol turns cheap repeated shots into Onslaught damage while Zero In offsets range penalties. Use a Blaster Rifle if the room still denies useful Longarm sightlines.

Operator profile

An Umbaran marksman who previously resisted the Republic invasion of his homeworld.

Luco naturally supports long sightlines and precision play, but his story remains separate from any specialization you later assign.
