Jae Mordant build guide
Multi-target finisher who turns allied chip damage into eliminations before enemies can act.

NameJae Mordant
SpeciesHuman
Recommended buildAssault first, then Gunslinger
WeaponPistol to exploit Gunslinger's repeated attacks
Quick build
- Specializations: Assault first, then Gunslinger.
- Weapon: Pistol to exploit Gunslinger's repeated attacks.
- Utility: Concussion grenade for displacement, exposed targets, and clustered Sweeping Salvo setups.
Unique talent
Final Shot immediately assists against and eliminates a low-health target. Upgrades raise the trigger threshold and allow more activations in a turn.
Upgrade priority
- Upgrade Final Shot early so more allied attacks cross its execution threshold.
- Keep Sweeping Salvo and Bull Rush available for groups and displacement.
- Add Keen Eye and Onslaught from Gunslinger to reward repeated Pistol attacks.
- Favor accuracy and critical chance after the core loop works; Final Shot is wasted if Jae cannot assist the target.
Turn plan
- Place Jae within weapon range and line of sight before allies begin softening targets.
- Let the squad reduce several enemies toward the Final Shot threshold instead of overkilling the first target.
- Use Pistol attacks or Sweeping Salvo to finish survivors and generate more Advantage.
- Use Bull Rush only when the knockback creates a kill or a safe exposed target; do not strand Jae in the open.
Squad pairings and Bonds
- Kabb as a Scoundrel can guarantee a critical opening that Jae converts into a cleanup shot.
- Luco produces the large single hit needed to push durable targets into execution range.
- Scout support improves target information and helps fund Sweeping Salvo.
Alternative build and limits
Scout supplies more Advantage: Final Shot eliminations can trigger Tactical Timing and feed the shared pool. Before the second specialization unlocks, Assault alone is sufficient if you protect Jae's line of sight.
Operator profile
A Shu-Torun aristocrat and former mining lord of Luunata whose story intersects the Infinite Coil campaign.
Jae's background shapes dialogue and companion missions, while her combat role remains a separate build decision.
